FIRST WINE TASTING OF 2012.
Wine Tasting and Store Sale - Saturday January 14th 3-6PM

Well, the holidays are over and the cold is settling in. Time to break out some great wine with friends and recall last summer, and get ready for spring! About this time most of us are getting ready to receive our credit card statements, so a little wine will definitely cushion the blow.

This Saturday, January 14th, from 3-6 we are having a wine tasting featuring three amazing Portuguese wines and a very solid Italian Chianti.

The wines are:
Castello D'Alba Douro - a red blend

Casetello D'Alba Douro - a white blend

Quinta de S. Francisco - a red wine, aged for nine months in oak barrels, with an amazing palate of berries and a full finish. For $12.99, you will be amazed at the value and the skill in making this sort of vintage.

Fattoria Pogni - This is my favorite Chianti. I use it with any sort of red or white sauce Italian food, and let me tell you a secret - season your red sauce with fresh basil, italian seasonings, a pinch of tarragon, and half a tablespoon of sugar (this balances the acid from tomatoes) and you'll have everyone asking for your recipe!

As always, all 6 bottle purchases will be discounted by 10%, and cases by 15%.
